Hi all

I have a 3900X being cooled by a Scythe PCGH5 cooler and I'm not happy with the temps I'm getting. I run BOINC 24/7 and am often seeing temps within the 90 degree range which is way too hot for my liking. Can you recommend me any replacement fans for my HSF? I am runnning in a BeSilent 800 Case and I have aleady swapped the front fan out for 2 Arctic P14s. At idle my temps in Ryzen Master are showing as 47 which I again believe is a bit high

Thanks

No idea what these are like but I'd suggest these: Up to 2000 RPM!

Just bear in mind that you will be sacrificing noise over temps & there is no guarantee that it will cool the CPU any better than the existing fans. The cooler itself may be the limiting factor for temps. Sycthe should have designed the cooler to work best with those fans or the other way round.

I'd think about an AIO or water cooling if this does not solve your problem.

Cheaper alternative fans

The scythe fans are a max of 800 rpm so they ae always quiet even at full power. Static pressure is pants on them.

The Scythe SCMG-5PCGH Mugen 5 CPU Cooler at a Glance:
- Asymmetric tower design with six heatpipes
- Two 120 mm PWM fans for smooth running
- 300 - 800 revolutions per minute
- 4.0 - 14.5 dB (A) volume
- 28.2 - 71.3 m³ / h air flow
- 0.076 - 0.49 mm H2O Static contact pressure
