Okay, i want the final say - which of these coolers, (and all air cooling from OcUK for that fact) will give me the coolest cpu, with / without fan. max / min fan i dont care - what will give me coolest cpu? lol just me cutting the ****. l

For Am2:

and for

LGA775:

benchmarks / comparisons would be nice but ill take your word for it aswell :P

I'm running a Core Duo 2 E6600@3Ghz, scythe ninja and ACRYAN Blackfire4 fan @ about 1370rpm ish and it's idling at 28c. Not sure what it's load temps are but wouldn't imagine a great deal more :D . Maybe 35-38c at a guess. I'd recommend a scythe as long as your case fits it. My PC isn't particularly loud either.

All in all I'd recommend the ninja, or (if you can source one) a Tuniq Tower 120.

ah cool.

I must admit, looking at it i was gonna go zalman anyway, the fan mounted on the sycthnija just wouldnt be do-able with how close the ram is to the cpu on my system

and im not running fanless, i dont care about noise its tempreture im botherd about!

i've had the 9500 since it came out, words cannot express just how awesome a cooler this is.

sometimes it even stops on bios from booting as the fans just arent spinning fast enough lol. never seen my x2 4400 go above 40oC even after lots of gaming, in a room thats sometime 29oC.

cooling perfection :)

Currently, I am running this: -

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo "Allendale" E6300
Clock Frequency: 3.01GHz (Stock = 1.86GHz)
VCore Setting: Stock, 1.325v
Cooling System: Scythe Ninja Plus (No Fan)
Idle Temperature: 32ºC
Full-Load Temperature: 42-46ºC [screenshot]

As for the RAM being close to the CPU, that is not an issue. :)

Very interesting!!! I was hoping to be able to run a 6600 at stock with the Ninja and no fan, and your info seems to suggest that this will be easily achievable!! :)
