Hi,

Off on holiday in a couple of months for 2 weeks so plan to take loads of photos.

Normally, as I get paranoid I'll loose the SD card or it becomes corrupt, I'll backup all the photos every night onto a laptop.

However will be a pain to take my laptop over so was thinking if there was anything other method. Online really isn't an option as it will be potentially 20gb of photos.

Thanks,

There are devices that will automatically back up everything on an SD card, one such device is the Epson P-7000, although these are old and difficult to come by, not to mention expensive. I'm not aware of any newer models but I'm sure there has to be some.

If you can't take a laptop/netbook I'd say go for lots of small memory cards, that way if you do loose one it'll only have a few photos on it rather than your whole holiday.

Far from ideal I know, but I've not seen a good alternative. Of the few card backup solutions I've heard of reading books/magazines, none have very good reviews.

An iPad can download photo's if you have the connection kit. Smaller than a laptop but a little pricey if this is the only thing you'd use it for...
