Hi,

Not quite sure if this is the right sub-section.

I have a card reader in my laptop and a 1gb micro sd card, and the micro sd card adapter to make it a regular size SD card to work in the reader. However it is very temprimental and even though it is recognised in my computer, i cannot explore it as it tells me to insert a disk into the drive.

My 8gb micro sd came today and this has a usb adapter, yet the same thing is happening. Does anybody know of the solution? My OS is vista if this helps.

Thanks

Benny C

Are the cards both SDHC? If so this could be your problem, your card reader might not be able to read SDHC cards.

Do you mean the 8GB in it's bundled reader is not working, or do you mean the 1GB card is not working on the new USB adapter?

Make a table like
8gb sdhc + bundled reader = ok
1gb sd + bundled reader = not ok
1 gb + built in reader = not ok
8gb sdhc in+ built in reader = ok

Then we can work from there. Also try and see if the 1gb is SDHC, I know the 8GB is, as there are no non-SDHC 8GB cards around.
