SD Card

Hi All,
I have just got a Sandisk ultra II 2 GB SD card for my digital camera. I have taken some pics & put the card in my card reader so I could access them via PC. XP told me the card was not formatted. So I tried to format but XP said it could not after a few minutes trying. I then removed card and put back in camera. Now the camera says 'card error' and will not do anything until i remove the card from it. Also if I put in in PC XP says it is now currupt.

Can anyone help?

ok. I have managed to re format the card in the camera, So it now works. Trouble is when i insert it into the card reader XP says its not formatted.

Does this mean XP cany detect 2GB SD cards?

PS, this is a laptop with built in reader.
