SD37P2 - Pci card?

I swopped my 7900GTO today, for a sapphire x1600 hdmi, so i could fit a seperate sound card.

Its only just dawned on me that it dosent have any pci slots, only 2 pci express slots, doh.

Do pci cards work in pci express slots?

was considering getting an external usb soundcard as the on-board sound on the sd37p2 is decidedly lacking.
