Brilliant pics - looks like you had great light for them. My favourites are 6,9 and 11.

Were you using a polariser out of interest?

Thanks mate. Light was ok most of the time, all taken with D70 + Sigma 70-300. No polariser, I have no filters yet. Slightly tweaked in Paint Shop Pro demo.

looks like you got a good sigma

mine was never anywhere near as sharp as that which is why I bought it's big brother the 100-300.

Some cracking shots there and your lens looks nice and sharp. Although the surfer shots are good I really like 11 and 12. The rust colours in 12 and 13 are excellent.

The kiteboarding shots are quite good, shame about the water colour though! But i guess it's not really Hawaii is it

are they cropped at all? or were they quite close in?

My Sigma is nothing like that sharp either

Nothing that isn't easily fixed in photoshop

Thanks guys. Some images are cropped for better composition. All images are sharpened in "unsharp mask" after been resized. My Sigma seems to be ok, cant complain for the money I paid (can post some samples if wanted). Still want better glass

Thanks Colin, how did you do it? Looks great, shame I have no Photoshop, too expensive for me.

Excellent shots. I'm suprised that its the Sigma 70-300, very sharp. The other non surfing shots seem to lack punch after seeing the surfer shots though.

Just a simple 2min job using "Replace colour"
