Seagate 7200.10 500GB platter density

The only info I can find out is it's 3 platters. That should make it 166.6 but does anyone know for sure? I'm debating whether it's worth the extra for the 750GB.

Also any signs of this model appearing on OcUK?

The drive is starting to appear in stock at some UK sites so OcUK should have them soon.

As far as I understand the drive is 3 x 166GB platters.

I know this is not really your question, but if you want the most GB per pound, get the 320GB disks.

I don't have enough space, or ear tolerance, for more than one extra disk. It's going in a Lian-Li V1100 with 3 hard drives already.
