Hello all, I have 2 x 80 GB Seagate SATA hdd's in a RAID0 array. Recently I have been experiencing odd problems. Every so often, I hear one of the drives kind of spin down, and spin up again. Usually no problems occur after this.On other occasions though, It has spun down and spun up again and got kind of stuck in this cycle, when this happens Windows freezes and I have to restart. Recently it has got worse. I can no longer boot successfully all the time. I have also noticed recently that when the RAID bios appears on bootup, one of the drives says "an error occurred" although it can usually still boot into Windows. Luckily I have backed everything up as I have a feeling that the drive is on the verge of dying. What do you guys think about this problem?

Kind Regards

Well, the hard disk died this afternoon. I can no longer boot into windows. I get as far as "Verifying DMI pool data" and then the system retarts :( I'm going to get myself a new 250GB drive. Not too sure now wether to go Seagate again, the drive that died was 2 and a half years old and used extensively.
