-Heat
-Vibration
-Noise

hardly any more noise. heat n vibe no idea, however its hardly any faster than the 5400rpm brother. the western digital scorpio blue 500gb seems to be the best all round drive. may be worth seeing if the black is notably faster when that eventually hits
