How much faster are these than the 7200.12?

Around 15-20% depending on application which is quite good

The Cache and new platter design obviously make a sizable difference.

Drives have leveled out now. Some sites have old stocks on some lines but not others. Once these sell out it will be safe to say that drives are going to remain at around £70 for 500GB, £90ish for 1TB, £105-110ish for 5x00rpm 2TB, upo to £150 or so for 7200rpm 2TB, £150-160 for 3TB 5x00rpm and up to £190 for 3TB 7200rpm.

Thats a rough guide on where itll be with lines dropping as an average whole by perhaps 50p to a £1 every week or so. Prices could even go up or down by this amount too but the above pricing is about right.
