Hi all,

I wonder if anyone is able to help me out with a copy of the recovery image you can make from the MSI software.

After a long, long fight with MSI they replaced my laptop with another machine, but that machine wasn't provided with any recovery partition on the second drive, although the main drive is all setup I'm just missing the images that sit on the second drive. MSI have basically said the replacement is what it is, so like it or lump it and if I want them to reset I'd have to ship it to the UK centre and pay, which I'm not inclined to do.

I know I can just install windows from a microsoft image, but if possible I'd like to return it to factory settings, however after looking around I can't find anywhere that has these images so I wonder if anyone here has this machine and wouldn't mind sharing their USB image?

Cheers

Thanks Rannoch, I did see this earlier but none of the links seemed to work at the time. One does seem to be working now though so feel a bit silly now...

Much appreciated!

If the main drive is factory standard, can you not image that drive to store and use to reset?

The laptops have two configurations, either everything on one drive, or the recovery info on the main drive but the actual image files stored on a partition on the second drive. Its a 20GB partition that was missing.

The image in the link provided by Rannoch worked, I restored the machine today using the option to put the restore images on the primary drive leaving the second drive free to be switched out.

Cheers
