Hi guys confusing title, lets say i want to search for MMA meaning mixed martial arts, how do i make it so only the the term MMA is searched and not "command and conquer" for example?

Cheers

If it's Google, and perhaps others, put it in quotations.

"MMA"

Edit: Ahhh, just read where you said it's for Usenet. Try quotations anyway, it might work.

If it's a certain commercial usenet index, then I tend to use brackets and spaces for whole words. Like "star " would hit Star Paws, but not Stargoat, if you were looking for things like that. If you were looking for something called for instance 48, you'd have to be pretty specific. "48 - " that would get you items titled 48, without getting Little Pixie on the Prarie - 48x02

Allegedly...
