Anybody using one of these cables with a 5090, i am guessing it will be ok to use.

It will be fine mate, they are nice and flexible as well. Just make sure it’s obviously fully seated.

That name looks familiar  , yeah just wanted to check before i plug it in, i keep seeing different spec PSU and version numbers 3.0/3.1 ect.

I used it with both a 4090 FE and a 9070 Nitro on that PSU and it worked perfectly, absolutely no issues at all. You just need to make sure it’s fully seated in there on both ends as that’s one of the reasons why sometimes there are issues :)

I wouldn’t assume anything with 12vHP TBH as it may likely result in fire. 12vHP is not in any way a definitive standard and really shouldn’t be used.

The confusion around ATX 3/3.1/Gen5 doesn’t help, but ATX 3 and 12vEPS for high power applications. Ideally for a 600watt potential load a pair of 8 gauge wires and something like an XT60 connector should used.

This is the new (improved) cable.

I suggest you drop their support an email and ask to see if they would be willing to send you one? Citing the concerns about 5090 and the 12VHPWR cables.

On their website it says the cable will work with any PSU unless it is ATX 2 or before.

I have one angled. It was available at another competitor at the time. As I’m using the 9070 Nitro now, rather than the 4080, I’m back to the straight one supplied with the power supply. Mine is actually on fleabay as I won’t be using it now.

The one I have is perfectly fine I am no worried about it going up in smoke lol. I wouldn't mind the angled version though as it look a little cleaner.

Sadly not available here yet.

Not sure that seasonic has one but be quiet does and it will fit any PCIE 5.0 PSU

That's a brave statement to make. They have one that fit's all of their own pci-e 5.0 psu's but other brands oem's will have different pinouts so things could go horribly and expensively wrong.
