PSU I bought from OCUK just over 2 years ago was failing so I had to to raise an RMA direct with Seasonic & send to someone in the UK to test it then a few days later I got a brand new factory sealed unit from Germany.

Whole process tool about 7 working days. Seasonic is on this experience a company I will buy from again as long as they offer such superb service :D

The Seasonic RMA customer service staff replied to all my emails within a few mins as well

Yep & the new unit came from germany sevice centre but its going back as well when I contact them later today.
The new unit it not silent at all (if you use PWM mode on your CPU fan control that is) the faulty one was 100% silent at all times that's why I bought it for the premium price premium quality. New one keeps ramping fan RPM up down I need & paid for 100% silence as PC is on my desk next to me ;)

Update found out why the replacement is not silent you have to set your mobo CPU fan control setting to disabled as auto, voltage, pwm means the PSU fan is also controlled by the same setting.

Must be a new setting on the replacement PSU the old one did not have this the new one is Haswell ready old was was not.

Is it one of the bronze units? I have seen plenty of reports of the S12 II/M12 II units being noisey over the past year or so.
No its the Gold model but found its a mobo setting for CPU fan control you need to disable that & manually adjust it otherwise the mobo controller does CPU + PSU at the same time so ramps the PSU RPM up noticeably but disable the mobo CPU fan control setting then its silent as expected!

Not up to Corsair's level but still pretty good. I just RMAed a RM650 PSU from Corsair. They now have a UK RMA centre so it's pretty cheap to send stuff there as well. Submitted the support ticket on Monday, RMA was accepted, I sent it the PSU on Tuesday, they got it on Wednesday afternoon. They dispatched the replacement on Wednesday and it got back to me on Thursday. If I had posted it on Monday the whole thing could have been wrapped up in 48 hours!
