I have just put an order in for a new PC I'm not in a rush to build it and some parts are on pre-order with no eta.

I ordered the 1000w VERTEX PX ATX 3.0 but just noticed there is a ATX 3.1 version out is there any point in me getting the 3.1 version?

This is the parts I have ordered (I don't game this is for CPU video encoding)

Plus for video encoding I'd probably want to use a regular spinning hard drive, even though it's slower you'll eat through the wrote cycles on a SSD pretty quick if you're doing that for months at a time.

Supposed to be derived from the Vertex, which I assume you know :D

By the way, you're aware the CPU has integrated graphics, right?

Yeah (to the 1st reply) though what I read there is a coil whine problem with vertex PX it's just put me off it's a similar problem I am having now with an old Seasonic 750GX.

I have ordered the Sparkle for someone else who doesn't have onboard graphics, I offered him a 1060GTX I have but that can be a bit noisy.

I have had a Samsung SSD 830 series running from 2011 which has been perfectly fine so using another won't make much difference.
