Seasonic X850W

Just trying to figure out where lies the problem.

Lately when I turn in the computer nothing happens. If I then go to the back of the computer, pull the socket out and put it back in the computer starts up without having to press the start button again.

Any thoughts

Hey mate. I have the same problem but with an XFX 1250W which is a Seasonic rebrand.

I hold the power button and flip the switch at the back of the PSU off and on and the pc boots up. That's the only way I could get it to work.

I can also hear a strange buzzing when I press the power button. I recently upgraded and had the same problem with two different CPU/RAM and motherboards so it's most definitely the PSU.

I RMA'd mine. Can't remember where I read it but might be an issue with one of the capacitors.

Ya. Think I am going to RMA mine too.

Just purchased a Thermaltake Dr Power II Universal ATX Power Supply Tester ( could not find any Power Supply Tester on OCUK). Will test it first, before returning.

Well I have been very happy with Seasonic PSU's. I am going to buy a Seasonic Platinum Series 1200w when they arrive in stock.

Until I test this PSU and speak with Seasonic I cannot say that the PSU is the definitely the problem in this particular case.
