How tight would you tighten the stock seatpost clamp on a Giant Defy aluminum road bike with a Giant Sport 30.9mm seatpost? Do you need a torque wrench?
Seat clamp is probably 5nm, at a guess. If you've not got a torque wrench then I wouldn't worry about it. Just do it up as tight as you can without going overboard and you'll be fine. If it's aluminium you're unlikely to crush the tube unless your Allen key is 4 feet long.
