I don't think its a lack of interest, its the lack of inaccessibility.

Motor sport is blocked by so many paywalls.

A genuine question - How on earth do you know the race is on and where to watch (for free that is legal)?

The Sebring 12 hour IMSA race can be watched for free on the IMSA app in the uk

I get eurosport with sky and the whole race is on there. It was difficult to find though, good old WEC.

I don't even know when the next one is.

I like formula e as well (I know it's a bit different) but they make it very difficult to find, in the UK it is on channel 4 or not in which case its on the channel 4 YouTube channel or something.
