Second 2 x 512 mb DDR kit question

I currently have a Athlon X2 system (socket 959) with 2 x 512mb Corsair XMS3200 Platinum. Performance wise it is still hanging in there thanks to a X1950 Pro (AGP) but is being held back with only 1 gig of memory. Decent DDR kits seem pretty expensive (certainly 2 gig kits) and therefore I was thinking a second 2 x 512 mb kit might be the way to go. Another 1 gig of Corsair XMS3200 Platinum kit would be over £100 but I have found a 2 x 512 mb OCZ Platinum PC3200 kit for under £50. This is rated at CL 2-3-2-5 pretty much the same as the Corsiar XMS3200 I have.

So the question is can I match different but similar 1 gig kits and still expect to run the same aggressive timings I am currently running?

I don't think that you can, my understanding is that you will have to run both at the slowest common timings, ie overclock the slowest pair to their max, and then that will be the speed you can run the other pair at...
Someone who knows more than me will be able to help you more
