Hey guys. I'm toying with getting a new card for Borderlands and Rage and was wondering if it's worth my while going crossfire with a second 4850, or if putting the money towards something like the 4890 would make more sense. I dont play at crazy resolutions (1400*900 to 1680 ish) but do like a constant 60fps.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

At that res 512mb is enough so you would benefit from a second card, but personally i would sell the 4850 and put it towards a 4890, be better if you decide to upgrade to a higher res monitor in future and also you won't be relying on games being crossfire compatible. 750W is more than enough regardless what you decide to do.

i personally would get another 4850 and crossfire but...

if you're wanting to step up the plate for future games... you're going to have to get teh 4890

but crossfire 4850 >> 4890

but similar pricing

imho if you can sell the 4850 at a decent price go ahead and get the 4890 but if you can't no point in wasting money

If I were you (and I'm in a pretty similar situation as it is!) I'd wait until the new Directx 11 cards. So soon now! If you really can't wait, I'd sell the 4850 (you could get about £50-£55) and get a 4890.
