Second 7600GT or Not?

My mate is asking me as to whether he should put a second 7600GT in his rig as he wants a bit of a performance boost.

TBH I dont know what to recommend as I dont have any knowledge on the cards, does anyone have any SLi rig set up and what kind of scores are ya getting in benchies?

Yes he'll see a boost - from benchies and what ppl say it will likely just beat a 7900GT; might be better selling it and getting a single 7900GT when he adds the money to a 7600

Just noticed a 7900gt for £179.99 incl vat.....your probably right with it going for that kind of price!

also take into consideration the high failure rate of the the 7900 cards. thats why i decided to go with a 7600gt and wait till the problems with 7900 cards have been sorted out. also you can get 7600gt cards for 100 quid inc vat and delivery. top value for money these cards are.

Yeah he doesnt play any higher than 1280x1024 so its not extreme resolutions or anything!
Plus i dunno what he'd get for a 7600gt selling it anyways!

True, its on the XXX version, but i'm sure you can get them clocks on the vanilla GT.

should be able to sell your old 7600gt for around 80 quid.
