Second 8800GT not detected

Argh!

I just got a pair of PNY 8800GT 512s, with the intention of running them in SLI

My system isn't detecting the second

Spec is:

BFG 680i SLI Motherboard
2GB Corsair DDR667
E6750
OCZ GameXstream 600W PSU

I have the latest forceware and geforce drivers, any ideas?

That option isn't there, the Nvidia control panel seems to have changed since that guide was written. (Incidentally the guide shows it as it was last time I tried SLI, with 7600GTs).

The second card is also not showing up in device manager.

Is that the latest 175.16 WHQL drivers, as i read over on Guru3D that they have SLi issues, so try a different set, but try both cards on their own first, just to make sure its not a card problem.

Right, swapped cards, rolled back to an older driver set, and it recognised both cards. I clicked to enable SLI, and XP went a little nuts, glitched like a glitchy thing, and went to minimal res mode - proper horrrible inch wide folders low!

What are the chances my PSU isn't man enough for the job?

I got myself a Coolermaster M1000 PSU, and now everything is working as it should.
