Second hand BF2142, would this work?

Someone is selling a second hand version of BF2142 on that popular auction site. If it's already been registered though wouldn't I need their account info?

Sorry this is a pretty basic question I'm just wondering.
 
If the key system works anything like BF2, then no you don't need their account as you can make your own under that CD-key.

Try and get their account though, then when you have it change the details so they can't go anywhere near it... if it's a dodgy deal they might still play on their original account meaning you might not be able to login to your account when they're playing.

my bro had the game and i wanted to see if it was ne good, put in his code and when I tried to make an account, it told me that there was already an account to that cd code..

looks like you might have to find out his account details.
