Second hand calibrator?

Hi all

I'm looking to get a second hand calibration tool to do my monitors and then sell on at little cost to me (my new monitor is noticeably worse than my old one colour-wise, and the differences annoy me).

I can't quite figure out if this is possible though - is the serial key that comes in the box a one-time use thing that can be used on my PC or would I simply be buying the tool but not the software?

I really just want to make a couple of basic profiles for my monitors.

Would someone be able to suggest a model/brand which can be bought and sold with no risk of someone not having access to the software?

You can use free apps to calibrate / profile monitor, for a used colorimeter best one is probably the X rite Colormunki.
