Well, on the fairly cheap :p

What kind of things should I look out for? Don't want to spend a massive amount at all, are there any bargains out there going second hand?

Current system is a Rotel RA-01 paired with Monitor Audio BR2s.

Cambridge Audio CD4s seem to go pretty cheap? They any good?

I just need it for playing cds and I don't need something uber quality, thanks.

Marantz cd-63, under £50 on 'auction site' = WINRAR

Each of my 3 players cost less than £40, with the lowest £12, which was a dead one. Cracking players for their age, and if you are nifty with a soldering iron, then the remaining amount of say £100 will provide enough for some significant upgrades !!!!!!!!!

I've got a Rotel RCD-965BX, I love it to bit's, really compliments my B&W's, they can sometimes be had for as little as £30-40, stunning CD players, people still compare them to mid range players of today, they've got a nice smooth almost tube-like slightly warm sound, ideal for brighter speakers, it's not perfect in it's accuracy but very easy on the ears, you can listen for hours and it won't leave you feeling fatigued at all.
