There's nothing wrong with the XE's - just make sure it's got the right head kit on it. Personally I'm an Nventiv fan and you'll never part me from my Mach 1 - If you can get a Mach 2 for that price I'd get that over the Vapo - just soooo much easier with it's own power supply!

The SE and PE models use R134a and have less heating capacity and don't cool as far the the XE. Older models would easily go into +temps with an X2. The XE should be ok.
The Mach 1 has R134a. Nothing stopping you getting a re-gas but then that's your budget blown.

Yeah everything can be but pending what gas you use it may need more work on it.
I know of a few promys coming up for sale soo that might do you.
Are X2's cold bugged? If so see Fatty as he make water chillers that are wicked and that would be better for you

They all can be - but the cost tends to be prohibitive - you can get a regass and the chilly 1 head done for about £150ish (drop me a line and I'll show you where I found it) - considering the whole unit is only worth about £100 seems excessive!
But I suppose if you've already got the PE, it's a good way to bring it up to date - if you haven't bought yet, I'd strongly recommmend the Prommie Mach 1 instead of the Vapo PE though
And yes - X2 (as will many chips) seems to be a lottery - do a search on your stepping or post some questions on XS to see if you've got a 'good'un' or not.

I don't have anything at the moment, just missed an XE and now there is a PE for sale on an auction site.
