Second Hand SNES

i know play more retro games then i ever did thanks to my Xperia play and a collection of emulators meaning when im in the mood my phone is normally on me and i can have a quick blast.

Everyone is different I guess, I used to mess about with emulators about 10 years ago but I never quite got into the games the same way I would sitting down with the actual console.

I have no idea why, can't explain it but I have played through quite a few of my Snes games now which previously wouldn't get more than an hour of play on an emulator before I lost interest... i'm probably just weird though :D

i still dont play most games for very long but i find having them on the go and with save states means playing old arcade games and beat-em-ups is more fun as your not replaying the first few levels over and over.

im slowly working my way through the mario series on my phone while playing a pokemon hack which is good for a "toilet session" when youtube is letting me down. and games such as the mickey couse illusions are great as a 5 min play

i did infact play the whole of FFVII at my old job during lunch breaks and quieter sessions and completed it in just over 40 hours all at work... its just a pain that i didnt have the phone when i used to work night shifts a few years back.

*sigh* I do still want a SNES....but this all seems like too much hard work :(

I wonder if I would be better off getting something like this? My main problem with playing SNES games on an emulator is I cant stand playing with the keyboard. The SNES games just wern't meant to be played that way. With something like this and an official controller I can pick up second hand, I could stick to playing roms on my PC.

you could just get a USB SNES controller (im 99% sure they exist) and your games will look many times better on a PC then an LCD or plasma

Not sure why you were playing with the keyboard but I just use a wired Xbox360 pad on the PC for my emulators.

I managed to get a SNES non-yellowed, the big light gun rocket launcher, two controllers and a few games for my mate for his Birthday and it wasn't that expensive
