Second hand system

My mate is looking to get a decntish system second hand and I was looking for some suggestions as to amp and speakers (hell get a cd player when funds allow) for around £200-£300.

He likes most types of music from metal/rock to dance etc

So anyone got some more suggestions to add to the list?

as for speakers, quite a few reccomend B&W 602, pretty big bookshelf speaker though, but they are supposed to be great for the type of music your into. paired with one of the amps above would sound fantastic for your budget. nothing new for that money would be in the same league
