Second monitor isn't running at the resolution it says it is?

Edit2: I've solved it

Hi

I've got a 40" TV connected up to my PC

The connection is
GPU -> DVI to HDMI cable -> Amp (home theatre AV amp) -> HDMI -> TV

The screen resolution is set in both the Windows Screen Resolution screen, and in the nVidia Control Panel, to be 1920x1080. The TV reports 1920x1080 60 Hz when I switch to the input...

But when I move a window with a known size (eg a game set to 1920x1080 resolution, or a picture) it's very, very clearly not running at this resolution. As far as I can tell, it's running at 1280x800, or thereabouts.

But I've got no idea where else I can change the resolution? Everything seems to be right? With the exact same setup I've sent 1080p pictures to my projector and another monitor with no issues, it's just this TV which seems to have issues.

Help?

Edit/update: tinkering some more, it appears that dragging a window to the second monitor, the window is correctly sized at first, then instantly scales to double the size once the mouse gets onto the second monitor? ie the resolution seems fine, but the windows themselves are being scaled. I don't understand why, though :(

Edit2: Okay, it was scaling, I solved it - for some reason it was reporting as being at 100% scaling even though it was clearly not. I fixed it by going into "make text and other items larger or smaller" under the Windows Screen Resolution screen, and clicking the "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays". Then setting it to 100% scaling let me set it properly for both. Odd.
