Second Opinion Please. Does my PSU need an upgrade or have I missed something obvious?

Hi,

I feel really out the loop as I only have an interest in hardware when it comes to upgrade spending time. And as my life has been full of kids for the past 4/5 years my system is probably a bit clunky now.

I am looking to upgrade my MBoard/CPU/RAM
Reuse my existing case, HDD, PSU, GPU, Win7 OS (if budget allows may upgrade GPU also now)
Future Upgrade RAM, GPU, Monitor, SSD & Win8.1 OS

Looking to purchase something in the region of:
£120 AMD FX 8320 Eight Core
£109 ASUS 990X M5A99X EVO
£ 72 Kingston HyperX Predator 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-17066C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit

Existing kit
PSU - Corsair hx620w
GPU - 320MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (EVGA)

Rebuild RAID with exisiting HDD / fresh Win7

Upgrade 2
GPU - Geforce GTX 660 / AMD Firepro v4900 1gb gddr5 (still weighing up 10bit colour photography workflow with Adobe Lightroom OR decent gaming card. I'd expect the Firepro is still an improvement for casual gaming)
RAM - more of same to 16gb
Monitor - Dell U2713h

Further advice would be appreciated if you could recommend any other models than already mentioned, plus:
SSD - just for OS / Apps / Cache - all data will go to HDD/NAS.

thanks for any advice you can offer

Hi and welcome :D

Your existing power supply will be fine for your proposed upgrade. Do yourself a favour though and get a third party cooler to go with that 8320. The stock one is very, very loud and very, very crap. When choosing be sure to check the cooler dimensions as some can be too tall for your case and sometimes too wide to clear RAM modules with tall heatsinks (such as the modules you've selected)
