Hi All,

I've just been ripping my cds and one of them doesn't seem to want to rip the track before last. It rips about 40% - 60% and then the disc slows down the progress line hangs and then carrys on quietly to 100% and then about 1:40 into the song it cuts off and then comes back on about 15 seconds later.

I'm using wmp 10. Brand new cd and sealed and plays fine and theres not one single scratch on cd :S

Any ideas?

this'll work if you use C:\Program Files..

double click it once, it'll instal EAC and a vbr high quality mp3 lame codec

open EAC, plop cd in, alt+g to get tracknames, press the MP3 button to start encoding!

bledd remember you can get it to auto-serach the cddb

Fairly sure they recently said that this was acceptable use of the cd after purchase and they wouldn't pursue prosecution for anyone doing this.
Saw it on ocuk but CBA to search for a link.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

There wouldn't be such a tool on wmp if it was illegal. Just think of all the people with i-pods ripping there cds onto them with i-tunes.

If you pay for it, it's not illegal.

Jeez lol, all i asked was why 1 of the tracks wouldn't rip correctly lol and got all this back.

It doesn't work like that. If something has sufficent legal use it can be implemented, thats why programs like bittorrent are allowed even though something like 90% of the users use it for illegal downloading. When you buy a piece of software it doesn't give you the right to do what you want with it, only gives you the right to use it within the t&c.
