Is it just me or have year old 2016 Ford Mustangs and the mk3.5 focus RS dropped very little in price ?

Think the brand new price of an RS focus was a little below 30k when launched and second hand 1 year old ones still seem to cost the same price

Think it's simply due to the lead times. I love seeing Focus RS' around. I phoned Ford for a test drive but they said they'd phone me back. Never did  Hence I don't have one :p

Prices look more then stable...They look like they cost more to buy second hand then brand new..

Kicks myself hard for buying an ST and not paying out the extra few K for an RS

Hell, I'll give you a kick too! :p

Mustang.... Stable.... heh

Supply and demand applies here I think. Limited numbers available new and still new and popular enough people will pay good money for them.

I have a friend who has an RS and he was told by Ford they are making no more RS's so maybe accounts for why prices are still up there

I got told by an RS owner that next month was meant to be the last month ford will accept orders for an RS (But I no checked to see if that was true with my local ford dealer)

Yeah apparently if you go in they will check the system which shows they are making no more in the factory so all you can buy now is pre reg if you can find one or second hand

:D

And a week after I bought my 2016 ST3 ford put this offer on :mad::mad::mad::mad: I saved the screenshot so I could keep annoying myself with it...:p

Blimey. I thought deals on the RS were basically non existent (they are always excluded from Ford's finance/deposit contribution offers etc as well. A guy I met who has one and works for Ford also said they do not get employee discount off the RS models.

I know what you mean

When I bought my ST3 I had -£500 test drive, -£1500 ford deposit etc and none of these offers were included when buying the RS

Man, gutted. But was that Trust Ford thing genuine/not a mistake? I really didnt think they did any offers as they can always sell far more than they can produce.

Prices are fairly stable but they aren't that high on RS's at the moment. I considered selling mine after 4 weeks as I just don't get on with it but got offered low ball price on trade in. I'm sure I could get more privately though. I paid nearly full RRP for it too and 3 weeks later my dealer were offering £1k off with a test drive on Mustangs and RS's.

That said I know of loads of unregistered cars with dealers waiting to be sold. I bought a car from stock and waited a whole 5 days to take delivery. TCH in Derby apparently had 16 Focus RS's awaiting sale the other week and the Peterborough one had at least 4 when I picked mine up.

I am hoping prices do stay up though as decided to keep the car a year or so and hoping to see it once they stopped being made and all stock has been sold.

What don't you get on with?

Believe there are plenty of built stock around if you search, but I read also no new orders, so not sure what happened to the limited edition with LSD and black roof.

That a good point..I forgot all about them...

But weren't they mainly for the US market only ?

EDIT:Meant to be only 1,500 being made and 1000 of them to US and the other 500 to Canada :(
Only 1,000 2018 Ford Focus RS models will be available to U.S. buyers, and 500 will go to Canada. Deliveries will begin in late 2017.

I can't really place my finger on what I don't like. I suppose it's just a general feeling and little things here and there. I find the seats not the most comfortable but did manage 4 hours without problem coming back from Goodwood. It's almost as if they change daily. Pushing on the car is great but it's awful in traffic. The Mustang was such a more comfortable cruiser and whilst I didn't expect the Focus to be like it is longer term. I drove it hard on test drive and it is epic fun but it's certainly not a long term daily for me.
