Secondary display causing IQ problems?

Has anyone noticed, or can anyone explain the variation I've been seeing in IQ depending on whether or not my secondary display is activated or not?

I came down this morning for a bit of 780 overclocking, and found my display looked horrible when I first turned it on. Icons looked hazy, the colours were all over the place, the over-saturation had taken a marked turn for the worse. I was comparing it to my other display and wondering what the hell had gone wrong. All the shades were off by a country mile.

I spent ten minutes fiddling with the OSD again, and then gave up, disabled my secondary display and ran Heaven to test my overclocks. I noticed when I finished the test run, everything looked okay again. Actually very nice.

I re-enabled my secondary display... whack! Everything garish and hazy again. Disabled it... Pop! Nice crisp images and nice colours.

Looking in Windows Photo Viewer gives the clearest results. With my secondary on, the border is a dirty grey instead of blue, and the skin tones are horribly over-saturated, much, much too vibrant. Doesn't look human even. Turn it off... the border is light blue like it should be, and the skin tones are accurate.

The other display does have a different refresh rate if that might have anything to do with it?
