Hi guys,

I am going to run 3 monitors (1 24" and 2 19" widescreens), the 24" will be run from a 4870, but i need another graphics card to drive the 19" screens. They should use the same driver as the 4870 so i can use them with vista and aero.
I also want to be able to take advantage of games like supreme commander which have a multimonitor facility.
It should also be passive.

Any suggestions? The cheaper the better!

Thanks,

Daven

If you want to game then a 4850 or 3870 should be good. But if you just game on the 24" then you could get a 3450 to run the screens for just 2d apps.

ye i will only really game on the 24", but was wondering how demanding the multimonitor aspect of supreme commander is. however i think i might just go for the cheapest dx10 card i can find.

Thanks

ah yes you are correct - just saw the FAQ. oh, well in that case it doesnt matter then! i guess i can just plug 2 monitors into the 4870 if i get really desperate!

so in this situation will the cheapest be suitable?

thanks

Just tried with an ATI 2400 series I had lying around, works fine, currently using 3 x Dell 2407's 24" LCD's
