Ok don't laugh, yes I'm in the market for an Ampere card. If I could afford a better one I would, but right now I need a stop gap upgrade (from a 1030!). I realise that the 4000 series is better grunt and efficiency wise but the 8gb in 4060s is ridiculous imo. The card will be used for some 3D work so more ram is preferable to pure grunt. And I need rock solid compatability which rules out AMD and Intel.

Looking at the prices 12gb 3060s go for around the £200-£230 mark. Whereas new they're £280-£300.

Does anyone have some good advice on whether the secondhand saving is worth it? Reliability issues, fan whine etc? Or also brand opinions, Gigabyte, ASUS, MSI etc.

Any advice much appreciated.
