Secret Invasion (Marvel TV Series)

Like the look of that but I know now to be weary when it comes to Marvel.
Yeah very hit or miss. TV series no where near as impactful as the movies which I guess what most are conparing. Story, production just is not in the same level as well as the story telling.

Nor sure how reliable this is but Chris Evans rumoured to return to MCU to reprise his role in Secret Wars.

From the trailer looks interesting enough, doesnt necessary mean its all doom and gloom. i do agree they have lost their way and need to start improving. One thing popped out from the trailer.

Not sure if that was Jamie Maddox - Multiple Man or if the identical people were all Skrulls changing as that person.

Hopefully it will lead on to bigger and better things.

slow(ish) start, no superheores to save the day (yet) but sets the background for the series arc and the end of the episode.
Yeah decent start nothing groundbreaking but looking forward where this leads.

One thing that always gets me with Skrulls is yes they can shape change but they seem to be able to reproduce the clothing as well. :D

I hope they eventually introduce the Super Skrull but saving for FF??

Will Jeremy Renner ever be fit enough to play Hawkeye again? If not I guess we could have Hailee Steinfeld as a substitute

Dr Strange (in the MCU at least) was never really an avenger.

Ant-man: Quantumania was (sadly) the start of Phase 5, not secret Invasion.

Dont think we be seeing Hawkeye back for a while if ever. JR did mention he was was going to retire but not really confirmed yet. So wont be back for any roles in the present time.

I did read they were planning to go down the Thunderbolts route (basically its a bunch of fake/substitute "Avengers" who are really
Super Powered Criminals
) but havent heard anything since that initial announcement.

I thought it was ok. It wasnt too dry. For me I have curbed my expectations so i am not expecting earth shattering events at a cosmic level. The pacing is a little slow but hope it will pick up more.

I wasn't expecting the Skrulls to be using extremis to give more powers.

Thought it was a bit of a cope out. They imo haven't thought of the consequences with

Giving Gaia a huge list of powers like that. Many of which can't be replicated like that. So kinda silly as it's already mentioned she the most powerful being in the universe now. Super Skrull only had the powers of the fantastic four so who knows where they are taking this.

Also Talos was just thrown away so cheaply was weak too.

This is so stupid and a mistake from the director imo.

The director seems to suggest Rhodey was a Skrull replacement as early as the end of Civil war. So it was skrull throughout all of End game? That is preposterous, you saw Rhodey bleeding red blood when he was the injured and how limited he was particularly if it was the end of the universe but he still maintained his cover throughout and didnt utilise his other skrull powers to help at all?? lol Its laughable how badly shoe horned that is. Sorry dont buy it. Thats just saying stupid stuff to try and make the show relevant. Not impressed at all.

Ali Selim noted how Rhodey wearing a hospital gown and having difficulty walking after he was woken up in the finale "points to" his replacement coming after his injury in Captain America: Civil War. "A lot of people have asked about, ‘Definitively, when did Rhodey...?’ I think his legs not working in the end of episode six and him being in the hospital gown points to ['Captain America: Civil War']".

Always love these. This one is perfect.

The craziest thing is that perhaps the Kree were right all along. Had forgotten parts of Captain Marvel.

Its funny but true (particularly the powers bit), goes to show the director and writers dont really know the material and have not thought this through at all. Just making random ***p and hope it sticks. Awful.

It was poorly directed anyway, and looks like it was cobbled together in the edit.

I'm pretty much going to ignore what happened in that show.

Whole things a mess with pretty flimsy ideas. The only concept that worth anything is what they taken from the source material and even then made a dogs dinner out of it.

Mis-direction and non-definitive answer (on purpose), I'm certain. Or they haven't figured it out yet, but that seems very un-Marvel as most characters arcs are already planned for the next few years. I personally think he is swapped after Endgame and it will be mentioned/answered in a futre show/film. I don't spend too much time reading articles about Marvel stuff I watch, but they are usually quite good at keeping secrets, so I doubt they would allow a director of a TV series to give away what was the "big twist" of Secret Invasion. I'm not sure what he would appear in next, apart from Armour Wars. Maybe What if S2.

Edit: I can't be bothered to spolier, the show has been out for a while now.

I hope its something clever like that and not another bugger up. I was giving them the benefit of doubt but if i am being honest it was pretty disappointing.
