Anyone else with a Gmail account get the above email which asks you to click on a link and verify you email address?

I'm a little suspicious...

Indeed. I used my common sense and didn't click it. I have had my Gmail account for years and this is the first possible phishing email I have received relating to 'Gmail', that has landed in my inbox rather than spam, so thought i'd see if anyone else got one

Gmail is usually very good in filtering out the spam, what you've got probably isn't that common yet, I imagine it will be dealt with soon. I'm not sure if there's a button to highlight spam emails in gmail, though I know there is in hotmail.

There is a button called "Report Spam" in Gmail which flags the message.

Surely you could have just looked to see where the link is pointing to? (without clicking it)
It's usually pretty obvious from that.
