Secured, no internet

Hey guys, wondering if you can help with an on-going issue that I'm hoping will be fairly simple to fix!

My PC, and only my PC, keeps losing internet connection via Wifi. It's a decent strength signal over 5ghz. I'm in a house share and the 2.4ghz channel is too slow.

I don't lose signal all together and remain connected to the router, but it gives me that "Secured, no internet" message when I hover over the connection. Simply pressing disconnect and connect with sort it out in a matter of seconds, but 10 mins later it may happen again. Obviously really annoying when I'm playing online and it disconnects me from that game/session altogether!

It's fairly random as to when it happens! I could go hours with no issue. and then 4 times in 30 mins.
I'm hoping it some sort of weird IP address issue kicking me out, but would have no idea about how to fix it? :confused:

You're not alone... This happens with my pc... Sometimes mid game which is reallllly annoying but like you say it is really random and it can be fine for hours on end

Check in power management section
If your WiFi has one
Untick the turn off this device etc box

As if this is actually a thing!? I've just found it and turned it off. Why for the love of god it would be on in the first place though! If this works, I owe you one

I'd be surprised if it works to be honest, do you have any antivirus installed? Sometimes it can go in the Fritz and block all traffic, have you scanned for malware recently?

It's in ethernet adapter too
Stupidly windows ticks it by default
Definitely causes some issues
Hopefully it may sort yours

It's a new build a week old, with no anti virus's! So unfortunately there's not a lot of history to base it off. Will be interesting to see. Patiently waiting for it to happen again at the most inoppotune moment lol
