Securely locking bike in rented house

I would say it depends on how soft the ground is, someone strong with soft ground could likely just rip that out the ground.

How are you planning to lock the bike to this? If is it just the wheel as in the pictures then it would also be very easy for someone to just take the bike missing one wheel.

Is it not possible to lock it inside the house?

I would use a long chain and rest it on the fence.

I am in a houseshare, so would rather not store it in a communal area.

I will look into storing it in the tiny storage room, might be able to put it in there with the wheels pointing up.
