Securing consoles at work

Hey all, at work I've been tasked with getting an Xbox One and Playstation 4 console setup at work in our break area. We're going to order the consoles standalone, with whatever games that come bundled as digital download only, rather than buying them with physical copies. All the games we will own will be downloaded only, to avoid having to swap discs in and out, and to also avoid them being stolen.

The only question I have is what recommendations do you have regarding securing the consoles and controllers. Are we looking at simply getting a locked cabinet of some kind, securing via Kensington lock, or even getting some sort of console specific bracket that will hold them in place.

Also, what ideas do you have for securing the controllers. It's not going to be like a gaming booth, where you have an all in one stand with the screen, console and controller. The screens are mounted on the wall, and we are going to have tables and sofas. Is there such a thing as a security cable we can use for the controllers, to secure them near the sofas, so they are long enough but still secured down?

I don't believe this is something that has been setup before in the company, and our audio/visual department usually just deals with screens, projectors and cabling! So any advice would be much appreciated :)

I think if you work somewhere where people are likely to ***** awesome stuff like free consoles in the break area then you shouldn't be putting them in the break area! That's mad.

agreed.

bolting down the controllers is crazy. In a workplace like this if stuff starts going missing the consoles get put away and don't come back. Simples.

Do you work in a pokey school full of kids? Or maybe Liverpool?

If the answer is no to both then you don't need to bolt them down...

I think the console should at least be secured, which it looks like we will at least Kensington lock it, or stick in a locked cabinet for now. In regards to the controllers, I believe my manager said it may just have to be a trust thing. I mean, he even suggested getting some wireless headsets, which I asked how we would secure, and he didn't seem too bothered!
