Hello,

I'm after two security lights -

1 - Is for the rear garden to illuminate the rear patio area which is very dark, I dont want it going off when one of the many cats decides they want to lay a fresh one though, is there a security light that cats wont set off? Or is it better to go for some kind of low power always on light, maybe a solar light or something?

2 - Is for the front driveway which needs to be low light to not annoy the neighbors but enough to illuminate the drive when coming home at night, cabling is already there for this, anyone have any experience with anything similar to what I'm after?

Cheers

I got mine from amazon a couple of years back just look for a LED version with PIR that's around 35w-50w with good reviews. You can adjust the sensitivity on the back of most of them including motion and light so you can play around with it until cat's no longer set it off.

Thanks, I don't want to get ripped off in a local diy store so that's great

Is you suggestion suited for both requirements? The front one would need to look nice it will be head height, rear one more function than form

Mine isn't pretty but does the job out the back. You could go for a decent wall mounted light for next to your front door and a flood for the back.

I'm after a wall mounted light myself for my drive/front door but can't decide on which one. I have been looking at the "Saxby" manufacture on Amazon. You will probably want one that includes PIR too, most of the ones I like don't have it though.
