Hi folks, sorry for spamming loads of threads but my mind is free now the living/dining is heading towards 90% completion :D

The shed has a security light on it that has been removed because it was driving me nuts turning on/off. It was one I made spare because I ripped it out of the old house for similar reasons, lol...

Anyway, thinking of either:
Hue Multicolour (£160) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Am...mzn1.fos.cc223b57-2b86-485c-a85e-6431c1f06c86
...but then learnt you need the 35 quid sensor separately. So gets quite spenny.

Benefits - I can ask Alexa to turn the lights on/Hue is bullet proof reliability wise. This is useful when I am working outside and just want it to stay on/parties etc.

I then saw the Govee stuff was a fraction of the price:
Govee (£65) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Govee-2700...eywords=hue+floodlight&qid=1698138086&sr=8-17

I have some of their stuff and its no where as robust. It'll still need an outdoor sensor and then possibly some faffing -- but I get "four" so I can put them all the way down the shed as downlighters.

Any other magic solutions?

We replaced our outdoor floodlights with Ring floodlight cameras... I know its more expensive but its now light and more security

I did consider one of these, but not sure it gives me the flexibility of just lighting up outdoors when I want to? Switch/power is in the shed so needs to be very robust smart (which is why I've not just gone straight for the Govee stuff). I also already have Reolink PoE Cameras.

Can you control the light yourself?

Full control via the ring app. I went for the hardwired versions as they were replacing existing.
