if you had the choice where would you keep your bike if working a nightshift (8pm - 4am)
a:secluded side street out of site of public quite secluded, covered by security light and CCTV. the bike is always covered under a nondescript bike cover and chained to a steel railing about 4cm^2 hollow.
b: a reasonably busy main road people normally walking up and down and smokers outside the building generally 80% of the time. rear disk lock and under cover.
however no cctv and no security light.
