Security rights analyzation

Howdy,
At work we are currently in need of a program that can scan a folder, and show all files/sub-directories and print all user access rights. We are need to determine who has access to what across the whole network and therefore need something that can tell us who has access to what folders and what level of access they have.

You could use icacls, or Cacls if your machines don't support icacls. Have a search on Tech Net for the syntax, if you've not used this tool before. Alternatively, there are 3rd party equivalents that do the same thing as this tool... search SourceForge for freeware ones.

If you're only interested in looking for administrative permissions then you can find this very easily within Active Directory.

Had a look at Cacls but its not quite what I was after. Found Dumpsec though which does exactly what I need Cheers though.
