Security scan(s) and System Restore

I was just wondering, to all those who run there Anti-Virus, CCleaner, A Squared, Spyware and what ever else software programs there are do you turn off system restore whilst running these scans and getting rid of unwanted rubbish?

yup

otherwise they hide in there, i never turn it on tbh, just slows your pc down when you make changes and install things, and then eats away at hd space

my sys restore is off,

i only have nod32 installed , which is expired

Not much point having it on during a scan, anything nasty in there either won't be picked up, or won't be cleaned. Better to turn it off and have the files deleted then scan, then turn it back on if you need it.
