SECUROM problems

I cant get either far Cry 2 or Highway to hell to load after the install.

On both I get the can not write to licence error.

I can get a complete analysis file so sercurom have lost interest and UBISOFT well may they rot in hell.

Tried everything I can think off - any magical solutions?

Quick solutions which many might not like use the cracks available.

Far Cry2 is very poor anyway so you are not missing much at all. The entire game install is only 3.16GB and contains 50 files and is more like a Far Cry1 total conversion or mission pack than a new game.

With regards to your problem have you tried running the game as administrator or checking to make sure you have no AV or Firewall blocking access to the game??
