Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £179.99

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £129.98

Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £17.99 - today only.

£327.96 and a hell of a lot better than that AMD rig you put together. Of course you have put your budget at 3250 so I'm not sure if you mean £325 or £250

Assuming "3250" was "£250" then consider:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i3-2100 3.10GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £95.99
1 x Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £79.98
1 x Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX) £39.95
Total : £227.32 (includes shipping : £9.50).

The bulldozer is similar to the phenoms:

And this gives a much better upgrade path as you can add an i5 when you can afford it, or if its just for gaming the i3 will do well anyway :)
