Hey peeps,

As per title, I'm looking for a 32" screen, 1440p, ideally with gsync and a usb hub in it. Definitely not interested in curved or 4k screens.

This is for a 50/50 mix of desktop productivity and gaming. I do a lot of graphics/image work, so colour accuracy matters - more so than gsync, if it's a choice between the two.

For games, I play non-fps titles (Kerbal Space Program, Cities Skylines, WoW, Minecraft), so I'm not really fussed about the highest frequency; I'd just like it to respond gracefully if the fps drops into the 50s for a bit. Especially with GPUs at current prices I am not going to be running anything powerful for a long time.

I currently have a HP Omen 32", which has done it's job for a while, but has suddenly developed a bright spot along one side and it will drive me mad if it gets worse. Might as well plan the perfect replacement :)

What's the best screen that fits these requirements? I would rather pay more for a good one than pay less for a bad experience.

(Also, how's the panel lottery these days? I got sick of sending things back for backlight bleed... it was quite exhausting going through 4 to get 1 acceptable unit.)

I was in the same boat and gave up - ended up going with 27 inch and picked up the Dell S2721DGF for £322.
For what you want the only viable option is really the Asus PG329Q which seems to be around £700 - IF you can find it in stock.
There is also the recently announced LG 32GP850-B which seems to be of the same ilk as the Asus however the emphasis is on 'recently announced' so who knows when it will be available for general sale.

Well, both seem pretty good on first glance... I don't mind paying the money for a good product, tbf. Where I'll get annoyed is if they charge that and then the first one out the box has big backlight bleed or obnoxious IPS glow...

There's definitely some black-crush on my current (VA) screen, but that's kind of less annoying.

That does look pretty good - thanks for the suggestion :)

I use one myself as a daily driver and despite owning a lot of different screens, I'm impressed with it. The colours exceed my 5k Dell screen (although that is getting on a bit), response is excellent and even the HDR 600 mode isn't terrible (peak of around ~730 nits).

The advantage over the Asus 32inch screen (which uses the same AU Optronics panel) is that it has support for 10bit colour at high refresh (i.e. 170hz 10bit/8+2).

Panel lottery is a thing but for what it's worth, the first unit I bought does very well on bleed, uniformity, etc.

Gigabyte also have a new flat IPS 32' 1440p screen being released soon but with the way things presently are, hard to know if that arrives before the end of the summer or not.

Not in a huge hurry, current screen is minorly annoying but it's not really problematic. Inclined to wait and see what Gigabyte and LG actually launch, since they both seem to have something up their sleeves :)

That aside, I'm glad that there are at least some decent 1440p 32" options around. I was afraid it would all have gone 4k in a world where GPUs cost more than a kidney :')
