hello, im back again, think this is the 3rd time ive reworked my ideas and come back :)
so any advice would be appreciated :D
i have the following in mind as 'certain'
i7specc.jpg

and after considering going x955 black edition or upgrading my q6600 to a q9550 i was always told "i7 or nothing" so i put together the following and doing a conservative overclock, as i'd have no clue what to do.

options.jpg

seems to be the cheapest i can get good quality stuff it seems
would the following set up be good? any recomendations? anything i should wait for? or have i made any serious errors in compatability.

sorry forgot, i dont have a 'budget' but trying to be economical, i'll pay for quality

the system will be for gaming and i'll be using some maya and visual editing tools on my course, and im hoping this'll last me comfortably for atleast a few years.

current specc
q6600 @ 2.8 (refusing to stably go higher)
p5k-e wifi ap
4gig DDR2
4850 512mb with dodgy fan i broke :(

thanks in advance, and sorry for the spam

forgot to add, i dont have a 'budget' i'd just not like to pay more than nessecary, but if its worth more, i'll pay more

yeah youre prob bes upgrading, i suspect youre being limited by both mobo and cpu so you may as well go for it, 1st spec looks spot on, thougb if you think you may add a 2nd fx card later then go 850W ober 650

ah thanks for the reassurance 95thrifles.

cmndr_andi, cheers for the dvd link, seems pointless not getting it for the same price :)

for the psu, would there be any advantage to the 750 over the 650? from what ive read i'd need an even bigger one if i were to sli, or are nvidia telling porkies with the power requirements?
